Hey everyone! This November blog is going to be about locations of where I'd like to travel and take photos of landscapes, cityscapes, wildlife, street photography and pretty much everything in between!
To start a travelling journey, I'd definitely take three different cameras, if not lenses on the journey. I think it's important to be able to capture subject matter with a wide angle lens, zoom lens and a basic 18-55mm lens. Why so many lenses? so you can capture everything you need to with the right perspective. Also it's good to travel with a few cameras due to different weather environments as hot and cold temperatures can affect your camera.
So let's dive into where I'd travel to first. I think this photography journey needs to start in Australia. There's so many places where I live that I'd love to visit someday. Some of my 'must-do' locations would have to be Tasmania, The Snowy Mountains, Uluru, Keppel Island and all of the coastal regions to capture beautiful sunrise/sunset moments.
Travelling to somewhere that snows in Australia would be amazing! I'd also love to travel somewhere I can watch the night sky light up with stars. That would be so amazing to be in that moment....and photograph too because that would be incredible
Apart from Australia, I've tried to narrow it down to my top five locations I'd love to visit, there's so many places I'd like to go but this blog would go on for months haha So to name a few, it would be amazing to go to Antarctica, to photograph the animals, glaciers and the northern lights especially. I've always wanted to go to Antarctica in general, and yes I understand it would be a mission to go there, but it would be so amazing, words can't express how cool it would be to adventure there
Greenland and Iceland would also be incredible to venture and take some special landscapes. The fact that Greenland is basically filled with ice and Iceland is all greenery is quite incredible. They are really small places to go but incredible to photograph
America is somewhere I'd love to travel too as well... It's got everything I swear! haha I especially enjoy their seasons. They actually have a proper winter and autumn and not only that, Halloween would be freaking mind-blowing! I think Alaska would be cool to take photos of and enjoy the snowy scenery
Speaking of the winter time, Russia would be amazing too! Their snowy days are incredible but also their monuments are also just as stunning.
I think that the last place to travel that I must mention would have to be Japan. The beautiful flowers, landscapes, cityscapes and historical places seem amazing. Photographing street fashion and buildings to the mountains and trees, each location would be wonderful.
I would also love to travel to the places I have listed above to learn and experience different cultures. Original land owners and elders of each country. Experiencing the traditional ways of life and even just getting to witness and (hopefully photograph) some ancient lands, food and culture would be life changing. It would definitely mean something more to me than just doing some travel photography.
Something I'd really love to photograph whilst traveling is different waterfall locations. It would be amazing to photograph at least one waterfall in each country; looking at all the different scenery and challenging ways to photograph them sounds like a treat!
This is one big dream I've had for years now, I doubt I'd be lucky enough to live this dream but it's been great to blog about it. Also yes, there are so many places I'd love to travel to that I haven't listed, I envy all of the travel photographers out there! haha
The photograph below is of a pocket watch that I photographed a few years ago. I attached this photo to this blog because well, I guess time is all I have, to wait for the right moments to travel and capture wonderful moments
