Hello October!! This month I'm going to review a really cool photography product that is perfect for all of the polaroid fans, it is the instant polaroid printer.
This printer is the Fujifilm Instax smartphone Polaroid printer, it prints off any photo you select from your smart phone, smack bang onto polaroid film.
This polaroid printer is a nice little gadget you can easily travel with and print whatever you photograph from your phone. It prints on the usual instax mini polaroid film, used for newly released polaroid cameras such as the Polaroid 300 camera. It also comes with it's own charging chord that can plug into a usb charging port.
It's very easy to use, all you have to do is download the 'mini link' app, connect your smartphone to the printer via bluetooth and print! You can also edit your photos in the app and put a cool border on your pic or even add words like 'happy birthday!' or 'seasons greetings'.
Some specifications about this printer: It's small, great to travel with and easy to carry around. It comes in a variety of colours and it's super fast at printing. On the app, there are two modes to create with; print mode and fun mode. The printing resolution is 12.5mm and the film is 318DPI. It also gets fully charged within 80-120 minutes.
Personally, I'd give this about 4 stars out of 5; I am happy with it, but I think there could definitely be some improvements, particularly the app. It's a great gift to give someone and a lot of fun to print whatever photo you'd like
There are a few different polaroid printers out there, it's definitely worth researching about before you buy them. If you just want a polaroid printer for a bit of fun, then the one I've reviewed today would be very suitable. If you're more serious about it than I'd recommend you get an actual polaroid camera and go from there. I feel as if Polaroid cameras are more exciting to use because you get to photograph with something completely different and it's very raw, with no editing in a one off shot. Either way, I love seeing/using different Polaroid products, if you're keen on getting a camera or a printer they are lots of fun to use and a definite recommendation.
