Let's talk about some peeps who have inspired me and my photography!
When I first started to find some inspiration I stumbled across the beautiful Annie Leibovitz. Leibovitz does stunning portraits and fantasy shoots. Her elaborate photoshoots stunned me into transition to want to photograph amazing things. Her work is brilliant!! (please google her photography)
Leibovitz's photoshoots featuring Disney princesses/princes are freakin' incredible. It definitely has inspired me with my Pinup and cosplay photography, and doing those types of shoots always make me feel like I'm in my own element. Especially when I get to photograph something 'different' such as those things and create my own little fantacy shoot on a smaller scale haha. Creating big productions of different fantacy adventures would be absolutely wonderful to achieve. (I guess this Disney princess can always dream hehe)
As well as her fantacy work, Annie Leibovitz takes amazing portraits. She captures portraits of celebrates that are stunning and she really does bring out their personality. Capturing portraits has always made me try to make that connection to the client and create something wonderful. Portraying a clients energy and emotion is something I will always try to bring out in a photo. I'm still learning how to do so, as everyone is different and it can be difficult sometimes, making a portrait session fun is the ultimate goal.
As for landscapes and wildlife photographers, I'm rather fond of Steve Parish and David Tarn. Steve Parish shoots amazing wildlife creatures and David Tarn photographs incredible landscapes. I envy their work so damn much. One of my favourite books to look at called "Photographing water in the landscape" by David Tarn is where I stumbled across his amazingness! Please go check out their work if you're interested. They are amazing photographers and hopefully they also inspire your creativity and photography.
I'd also like to add, inspiration can be found everywhere. On a daily walk, a spontaneous location, even going shopping! haha Anything can spark your creativity and mindset, and lead you on a creative tangent of beautiful photos. Fellow photographers and people in general are always fantastic inspiration, the amount of ideas that can instantly spark and change your mind is endless!
So, the photo below, this was taken at dawn, before the sun rise, during a cold morning this month. Oddly enough the inspiration behind this photo is my motivation to capture moments. Most days I struggle to get out of bed that early, so photographing the sunrise is always a special moment for me. That motivation of willingness is what I hold onto and pushes me to get creative. I was basically inspired by a love of photographing. (that sounds cheesy but it's all I got for ya haha) Who knew photos would mean so much to me.. it was definitely a beautiful moment, a sunrise or sunset is always unique, so to capture their beauty is an inspiring adventure within itself.
Oh and side note: I'm not attaching any of the artists work who has been mentioned in this blog due to any copyright terms and conditions. (but I will definitely urge you to google them if you're keen)
I hope you find some inspiration within your adventures
Enjoy your day,
Ebony
